use your horn the way it is meant, as a safety device, then that split second delay between hitting the button and when the horn comes on can eat up a lot of tarmac under your wheels at speed. I've had air horns before and that's what I didn't like about them. It doesn't seem that important until you realize how important fractions of seconds and response times are when you need your horn in an emergency.
